Let’s dive into a topic close to my heart – accountability & time management. Between work, personal goals, & just, you know, adulting, finding time to ‘manage’ our time can feel like a hefty task.
As I find myself exploring this topic more & more, I’m fascinated by those things that seem to come easy to us – (even takes us hours because we get so lost in it) & we dive deep into flow… & then the things that we know in reality will take us 5 minutes but we just cannot seem to get our heads down to do at all.
Isn’t it bizarre how time seems to behave differently depending on what we’re up to? Let’s dive into this mystery together.
I’ve got five tips to help us get started:
- Identify Your Flow Triggers: Discover what activities put you in that magical state of flow. Let’s reframe these as our ‘power hours’ & embrace them.
- Break It Down: Big tasks can be overwhelming. Break them into bite-sized chunks & sprinkle in some other activities in between. Trust me, it works wonders.
- Set Realistic Timelines: Be kind to yourself. Don’t try to cram too much into a tiny timeframe. Set realistic deadlines & watch how your productivity soars.
- The 2-Minute Rule: If you know it will take 5 minutes or less, do it now. No more procrastinating on what you know is truly a quick win.
- Celebrate Small Wins: Acknowledge your victories, no matter how small they seem. It really does create positive momentum.
Remember, it’s not about being busy; it’s about being productive.
