One of the Magic Ms I use for wellbeing & balance is ‘mantras’. Traditionally a chant or sound use for healing, transformation or self awareness. If you want a greater understanding of them, this is a great article.
Mantras can also be words said that give you the desired effect – e.g. repeating the same few words over & over. These are similar to affirmations, which I’m sure you’ve come across & maybe used yourself.
You & I both know that mantras are great for a moment of self reflection, a way to interrupt negativity & enable us to grow. We also know that doing mantras in the morning can sometimes feel like an impossible task. Even with the best intentions, it may just not happen. As an alternative, here’s a selection of impactful & inspiring mantras that are great for the evening.
Practice as you unwind & reflect on the day – affirmations of mantras can still be valuable & it makes sense to fit them around your schedule rather than just not doing them at all because the mornings don’t work. Here’s some ‘end of the day’ affirmations & mantras I came across on Zanna Kiethley’s website, there’s 35 in total but here’s a selection of my favourite:
- Everything I did today is leading me to a better tomorrow.
- My body is relaxed & my heart is at peace.
- I release any worry or stress I felt today. I know that everything will be okay.
- I am grateful for every single experience I had today.
- I feel calm. I feel peaceful. All is really well.
- I inhale peace. I exhale worry.
- Everything is unfolding for me in perfect timing. I release worry & choose to trust.
- I know that tomorrow’s going to be another really beautiful day.
Have you ever tried speaking out mantras like this before you go to sleep? Let me know.
